As it is well known, investments are an integrated part of the contemporary economy. In this connection the Charter of the Bank stipulates investments activities aimed at financing investment projects for development of the infrastructure, participation in the state target investment programs as well as in the investment projects of the national importance that are implemented on the basis of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the foreign countries.
Wit in the frame work of implementation of the state policy on attraction of foreign investments the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan “Amonatbonk” works on establishing business relations with the leading Financial Institutions of the world. For the time being the SSBRT “Amonatbonk” signed seven Credit Agreements to the total amount of 27 million US Dollars.
With the China Development Bank the SSB RT “Amonatbonk” signed five Credit Agreements to the total amount of 20 millions US Dollars and 33 million RMBs.
The similar Credit Agreement is signed with the Islamic Development Bank in 2009. In accordance with this Agreement the IDB opened Credit Line to the SSB RT Amonatbonk“ to the sum of 2 500 000 million US Dollars.
Under the revolving Credit Agreement with European Bank of Reconstruction and Development the SSB RT “Amonatbonk” attracted more than 750 000 US Dollars investments. In partnership with EBRD the SSB RT “Amonatbonk” implemented the TAAF Program on offering financial assistance to agricultural sector of the Republic of Tajikistan. ThisProgramwasfinancedasagrantbyEuropeanUnion for training of credit experts of the Bank and agronomists on basics of crediting activities.
It should be noted that attraction of foreign investments promotes placement of lax credit facilities amongst the poor and the population residing in there mote mountainous areas of the country. Besides, attraction of financial resources from the foreign banks is aimed at development of SME of the country. For the time being the SSB RT “Amonatbonk” continues to work in this direction with other International Financial Institutions.
