Meeting of experts and coordinators of the SCO IBC was held in the Dushanbe under the chairmanship of the SSB RT "Amonatbonk"
On May 17 and 18, 2021, at the initiative of the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbonk", a meeting of experts and coordinators of the Interbank Consortium of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held.
Delegations of the State Development Corporation “VEB.RF”, the Uzbekistan National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, “RSK Bank Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Kazakhstan Development Bank were present at this event. In order to ensure the participation of authorized financial institutions of all parties, the necessary technical conditions were created, which allowed delegations from the China Development Bank, Habib Bank Limited (Islamic Republic of Pakistan) , and the Indian infrastructure finance company to participate in the meeting remotely. Along with the delegations of banks, the event was attended by senior officials from the SCO Secretariat.
It should be noted that the Deputy Chairman of the State SSB RT "Amonatbonk" Mr. Rizvonzoda Firdavs Zikr took part in the event and made a presentation.
In his speech, Mr. Rizvonzoda F.Z. stressed that the Interbank Consortium, being an important platform for interbank interaction within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, in the current difficult economic situation in the world is making every effort to restore the growth and development of the economies of the SCO member states.
Together this, it was noted in the speech that Amonatbonk is ready to develop cooperation both on a bilateral and multilateral basis and take the necessary measures to achieve the set goals.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues of mutual cooperation were discussed, in particular:
1. Expansion of cooperation with financial institutions of the observer states and SCO dialogue partners;
2. Interaction with international financial institutions operating in the SCO space and in the Asian region;
3. Discussion of the adoption of the Strategy for the further development of the SCO IBC for the medium term (2022-2026);
4. Investment cooperation of member banks of the SCO IBC;
5. Cooperation in the field of exchange of experience and training;
6. Coordination of the terms and agenda of the next meeting of the SCO IBC Council.
One of the main and significant issues of the last meeting was the discussion of the adoption of the Strategy for the further development of the SCO IBC for the medium term (2022-2026) in the new edition and the approval of the date for the next meeting of the SCO IBC Council.
