Meeting of the Chairman of the Board of the SSB RT “Amonatbonk” with Tajik national university students

On April 28, 2021, at the Central Office of the SSB RT"Amonatbonk", was held a meeting of the Chairman of the Board Ikromi S.S. with students of the Faculty of finance and economics of the Tajik National University. The event was attended by the rector of TNU Khushvakhtzoda Kobiljon Khushvakht, the faculty professors and students of TNU. The guests visited the Treasury Department and the Department of pension payments and bank cards, where the Bank's specialists presented to guests the process of banking services.

TNU teachers and students visited the Bank museum and learned about the bank's achievements over the years.

Then, in the conference hall of the Bank, took place a presentation about the history of the formation and development of the Bank.

Chairman of the SSB of the RT "Amonatbonk" Ikromi S.S. in his speech noted that Amonatbonk was founded on the basis of savings banks and began its activities in 1885. Amonatbonk's activities in the banking sector of the country during these years spanned several periods, and in 1992, on the basis of the Republican Savings Bank of the USSR, the Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan was established. In 1998 the Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan received the status of a state one.

It was noted that for 135 years Amonatbonk has become one of the largest banks in Tajikistan, and today branches and banking service centers of the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbnk" are located in all cities and regions of the country, including the most remote regions. The extensive network of the Bank consists of the Central Office, 75 branches and 546 banking service centers which employ more than 2,900 people.

At the same time, data was provided on Amonatbonk's services for the implementation of state social policy and modern mobile banking services.

Speaking about the activities of women and youth in Amonatbonk and their active participation in public affairs and various sports competitions, Rakhimzoda Shakhlo, head of the Women's Council of the SSB RT "Amonatbonk", noted that the involvement and training of youth is the main direction in the field of activity of Amonatbonk. That is why more than 50% of employees are young people who play a vital role in the development and prosperity of the country's banking sector.

It was also noted that in order to implement the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon to attract more women to work, during the competition for employment in Amonatbonk, priority is given to women.

Today, the total number of female employees in Amonatbonk is 1,252 people, or 43% of the total number of qualified employees, and the Bank intends to gradually increase this number.

At the end of the event, TNU students actively asked questions related to banking, to which they received detailed and comprehensive answers.
