Meeting of the Chairman of the Board of Amonatbank with Media on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan "On measures on expansion of cashless payments" № 586 dated 22.06.2023

On June 23, 2023 Chairman of the Board of SUE SB RT "Amonatbonk" held a meeting with representatives of media with the purpose of explanation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan "On measures on expansion of cashless payments".

At the beginning of the meeting the Chairman of the Board of "Amonatbank" reminded of the instructions and decrees of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan during the annual message to Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the main directions of internal and foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan", dated December 23, 2022 and the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan № 586 of June 22, 2023 "On measures on expansion of cashless payments". It was noted, that this initiative is primarily aimed at ensuring transparency of financial transactions, enriching the state budget, preventing corruption factors, promoting the development of the financial sector, expanding financial inclusion in the country and improving financial literacy of the population.

Beginning from January 2023, in order to fulfill the orders and instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, Amonatbank started to develop an action plan and stages of implementation of necessary works.

Representatives of mass media were informed that with the aim to strengthen necessary infrastructure for cashless payment of taxes, state duties, fines, mandatory insurance, communal services and other state services, 853 POS-terminals were installed in branches, bank service centers and tax inspection buildings, including 820 units in Bank branches and 33 in tax inspectorates.

Amonatbank started implementation of non-cash state payments since the third decade of March, and until now, they have received more than 275 million somoni of tax, obligatory and municipal payments through the above mentioned POS-terminals and transferred to the republican budget.

At the same time, the new program "Front-office" was developed and introduced to control the processes related to cashless payments and integration with ministries and departments. The advantage of the above programme is that every ministry, agency and state organisation can use a personal office and monitor all payments coming into their account.

In order to establish close interaction with the executive bodies of the government from April 27 to May 6, 2023, heads of structural divisions of the central office of the Bank were mobilized in cities and districts of the country, in direct cooperation with local government bodies with participation of a wide range of government structures, activists of urban and rural communities, heads of settlements, intellectuals and other sections of the population, carried out explanatory work to increase financial literacy of the population

It was noted, that today the Amonatbank’s bank service centers and branches of are ready to provide non-cash services with the use of national cards of the national payment system "Korti Milli", individuals and legal entities can pay all types of taxes and more than 300 other compulsory and community payments.

In order to expand and strengthen remote service, the Amonat-Mobile mobile application has introduced the possibility to pay taxes (10 types) and utilities, and the total number of users of the mobile application is 384,433.

The successful connection of state organisations and institutions to Internet banking for legal entities has been launched, and currently more than 7,919 enterprises and organisations of the republic are successfully connected.

In order to ensure prompt and timely service to customers, Amonatbank has issued and provides free of charge anonymous cards "Farogir", with the help of which customers can make non-cash payments.

Along with the above-mentioned services, 237 POS-terminals have been installed in state organisations and institutions, 620 POS-terminals in trade and service centres and active use of QR codes has also been initiated.

The State Unitary Enterprise "Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbonk" is taking all necessary measures to expand non-cash payments in the country and provide customers with new, modern and convenient services.
